Description: The Arbor Day Foundation and The Home Depot Foundation will host its 3rd annual Partners in Community Forestry National Conference, November 9-11, 2009, at the Doubletree Hotel in Portland, Oregon. The conference provides the most current information and best practices in urban forest management, tree-planting programs, as well as partnerships and collaboration with others who support community trees. This year's conference will continue to focus on community tree management, trees and development, and the benefits of trees in community health, with special consideration given to engaging new and diverse constituencies in the management of our community trees. Presentation proposals that address the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing urban forest managers and advocates are being accepted in 30 or 45 minute formats and we welcome those presentations that utilize multimedia and audience participation.
